A successful move is all about planning. That’s why we spend three out of the five stages of an office move creating a well thought-through moving plan tailored to your situation.
Stage 1
Pre-move meeting
- We meet with you to find out which of our services you need, identify potential pitfalls and inform key staff members about the how the move will work.
Stage 2
Planning and organisation
-
Following an on-site visit, we draw up a detailed moving plan which includes the resources we will need during the move, the packing and handling methods we will use, and a safety plan to protect the premises and the staff during the moving process.
We collect existing floor plans, create a colour-coded location referencing system, produce proposed floor plans, liaise with other contractors (office fitters, telecoms providers, etc.), and carry out an audit of IT equipment, furniture and filing systems.
Stage 3
Pre-move
- In the days before the move, we conduct staff workshops and distribute move information packs with colour-coded packing labels. Each staff member gets their own crate in which to pack their personal belongings if they want to keep them separate from the move. We arrange access at origin and destination and make sure that all health and safety regulations will be adhered to during the move.
Stage 4
Moving
-
On moving day, we shut down the IT equipment, relocate it, re-install it and test. Once we have moved the furniture and crates, we receive your staff in their new offices and assist with unpacking and porterage. We also conduct health and safety briefings of the new building to make sure everyone is properly informed of exits, the location of firefighting equipment, etc.
Stage 5
Post move
- Once the majority of the move has taken place, we offer information assistance and do last-minute rearranging of furniture if required. Once everyone is settled in, we collect and reconcile crates and conduct customer satisfaction surveys.
